This morning, hundreds of angry parents gathered outside the Phillips Foods factory to protest the company's use of excessive sugar in its products for children. "I was disgusted when I realized how much sugar was in some of my children's favorite foods. It's very ( ) ," says Elsie Schmidt, a protester and mother of three. Andrew Berry, a father from Bridgetown, says, "These companies need to have stronger ( ) and take responsibility for their erous products. These sugary foods have long-term negative effects on children's health. Phillips needs to make some ( ) to its products, or it will lose a lot of business." Parents like Elsie and Andrew say that their ( ) goal is to pressure Phillips and other food companies to produce healthier snacks for kids. Gary Robertson, a representative from Phillips, says, "Our products are very popular ( ) . They are made with high-quality ingredients, and kids love them. If we ( ) our foods, ( ) will be disappointed. Parents should be responsible for controlling what their children eat—not companies." When asked if he would be willing to participate in a formal ( ) on the issue, Robertson declined.
